Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), the famous French business school, and Ecole
des Mines de Paris, one of the best French engineering schools, offer together
a
Master degree in Information Systems Management. Its web site is :

Founded in 1997, this Master degree has currently 58 students ; students
entering this programme have already spent at least 5 years at university level,
and most of them graduated from a French Engineering school.
During the Master programme, they spend about 550 hours in various management,
marketing and technical courses. Thereafter they follow during 5 months
practicals, usually in consulting companies and in information systems divisions
of large companies. After graduating from the Master, they are expected to get
an employment in some company, usually as a project leader in information
systems projects, or as a consultant.
At the end of their studies, students usually make some short trip in a foreign
country to study a subject related to their studies. In 2004, it has been
decided to study the emergence of "collaborative sourcing" in China,
in the
field of new technologies.
Along with the students, a few faculty members will come to China from March
28
until April 5, in Beijing and Shanghai. Professor Alain BERDUGO of HEC, Pr.
Robert MAHL of Ecole des Mines, and Mr Christian SCHERER from French ministry
of
research, will be among these faculty members. Their personal web sites are
