(TICE = Les Technologies de l'Information et de
la Communication dans l'Enseignement)
- Liste modérée proposée par la Direction de l'Information
Scientifique, des Technologies Nouvelles et des Bibliothèques (DISTNB)
du Ministère de l'Éducation Nationale, de l'Enseignement Supérieur
et de la Recherche. Elle s'adresse aux responsables de projets d'intérêt
national et régional et aux correspondants de réseaux scolaires,
en France et dans le monde. Elle permet de faire circuler l'information d'ordre
pédagogique, les propositions de projets coopératifs entre classes,
les demandes de contacts entre modérateurs, animateurs, responsables
de projets, en France et à l'étranger.

created and moderated by Otmar Foelsche of Dartmouth College. LLTI has become
the principal means of information exchange among those interested in language
learning technology. All contributions are archived."
Champs-Élysées
- the definitive authentic French listening comprehension resource
for teachers and students now offers additional materials and a bulletin
board online as well as product information and a demo of the study
supplement. Suitable for independent study and/or full class activities,
each monthly Champs-Élysées
audio magazine (including an audio program on cassette or CD) is
packed with interesting news, interviews, and features on topics ranging
from politics and current affairs to sports, travel, film, music and literature
- all presented in French by native speakers. Teachers (and students) can
work on French listening skills and keep up with what is happening in
France independently, in class, and/or while commuting, jogging, walking
the dog, or cooking dinner. The magazine contains a word-for-word printed
transcript of the program. Difficult words are highlighted in bold and defined
in an extensive French-English glossary. The optional study supplements,
applicable to all levels of proficiency, include listening and postlistening
exercises covering selected segments of the program. All answers are included.

- Introduction to French Civilization and Material Culture (Tennessee
BobPeckham, UTMartin) - "a 3-credit contemporary French Civilization
course, with the Fifth Republic (1958 to present) as a temporal and cultural
framework. Objectives will be in line with the AATF
National Commission on Cultural Competence indicators . ...Most of the
media will come from the internet, centered in a course web site, but including
an e-mail discussion group, and francophone key- pals. We will also use current
French newspapers, as well as television and radio news broadcasts. Though
we will meet three days per week, the course is designed, through distance
education elements. to accommodate those with internship and coop obligations
which might prevent regular attendance. The course will be conducted in French.
