Christmas 1999
Dear Family and Special Friends,

Both of us are still alive and kicking, with Doug keeping a close watch on the stock market when he's not playing golf, and Jan happily devoting her days to managing her Quartier français site plus a Teilhard eGroup. Together we're playing lots of  bridge and participating in club and church activities. We had a fun visit to Orlando, Florida for the wedding of Bob (our former interim minister) and MaryLou Palmer's daughter, and continue to travel to Maryland to visit with our daughters' families and also Jan's relatives. Family reunion vacations on Hatteras Island every  June are particularly cherished. Counting every blessing, including the good health of all the family, we share our Christmas joy and happy memories from 1999.

Here (from left to right), are son-in-law John and daughter Nan (parents of Nick and Taylor); son-in-law Jay and daughter Lisa (parents of Eric and Stephanie); and yours truly, the happy grandparents. John and Jay work for companies of Jan's brother Art in BelAir, Maryland. Nan is a homemaker and resident angel while Lisa is a computer programmer analyst for Cytec. Their families live just 5 minutes from each other.

The Drs. Paulsen, Tai's parents,   live in Atlanta, where Doug is  Professor of Anatomy and Director of Human Morphology and Histology at Morehouse. Ann, with her own psychiatric center, was listed in the top 8 psychiatrists (and only female!) in the Atlanta magazine.

Eric (16 and driving) and Stephanie (14) are both active in church and  excelling in  high school honor's courses..

Taylor (10), our budding actress, and Nick (12), a great Pokemon site creator, also excel in school.

Tai, (almost 4) hosted the recent Atlanta Zoo Chinese Panda Exhibit

This past Thanksgiving weekend we had a wonderful gourmet dinner at the Fox Head Inn!

At the beach, Taylor, Eric, Nick and Stephanie

especially loved eating at the "Down Under"!

The pool was great for swimming and sunning, but the courageous still loved to dash (?) into the surf!

Christmas blessings and special love,

Jan and Doug

We enjoyed those great beach barbecues almost as much as  relaxing in the pool!
